G-CAP was created by its founders to promote active citizenship through entrepreneurship, and skills development, with a specific focus on youth and children in impoverished social settings. Here are a few of our key milestones so far…

G-Cap NPC is launched to empower and uplift South African youth by harnessing the 5 Elements of Hip-Hop and collaborating with Hip-Hop legends to nurture the next generation of Grand Masters. BeatBangaz DJ Academy is now managed by G-Cap NPC.
Safer Roads 4 All (SR4A) launches, connecting with youth through drifting and autosport to promote road safety education and reduce traffic fatalities.
Kids Music Fun launches to combat youth unemployment through an annual, youth-owned music festival and a comprehensive music and arts program that fosters creativity, resilience, self-confidence, and job readiness.
G-CAP is led by Grand Master Ready D as our CEO and co-founder. His deep-rooted experience in Hip-hop culture and community activism has shaped the organisation’s vision and drives its purpose.
Our Board Chairperson Malikah Daniels, a respected social activist, recognizes and resonates strongly with the many urgent needs within Western Cape communities. She co-founded G-CAP and is the clarion call for help in support of the targeted youth and community development initiatives G-CAP employs to address these issues.
Our Board of Trustees meets once a quarter to provide strategic leadership, and to oversee the governance of the charity in accordance with legal requirements. It also ensures that the operational team is maximising the impact of the charity whilst acting with due diligence towards donors and beneficiaries.
G-CAP is a registered non-profit company (2017/460708/08), non-profit organisation (NPO 316-044), and public benefit organisation (PBO 930084155) in South Africa. As a certified charity, G-CAP adheres to the Fund-raising Act 1978 and holds Level 1 B-BBEE certification. South African taxpayers can claim tax deductions for donations to G-CAP.
